I'm currently dealing with Holderreads at this time. I've found them most helpful....especially with all my PITA questions.
I first ordered 20 ducklings...of 4 breeds for mid-March. Then decided to check out their availablilty on mature ducks. I had wanted a trio of Black Silky ducks. All they had left was a pair of them. So of course I bought them. They should arrive here in the next couple of weeks, and then the 20 babies in March.
Really looking forward to all of them. I dealt with Wanita and she's very nice and helpful.
I was very pleased to be able to purchase the pair of Silky ducks after reading all the wonderful things you folks write about Holderreads. And, yes, Dr Holderread's book on ducks is great !!! It helped me to pick out the breeds I wanted and thought I'd enjoy most.

I had ordered: 4 standard Appleyards, 6 Ancona..,.I love spots.....6 Khaki Campbell and 4 Welch Harlequins. I just thought I'd be happy with my "assortment" of sizes and looks. Then of course the pair of Black Silky ducks is just the frosting... )
Haven't had ducks in about 30 + years. Just got back into chicks this past August after the same amt of time. Waaaaay back then I had some ducks and one was a Rouen
(?sp) Penny was the sweetest little duck. I retired a couple of years ago and after many years of nursing figured I'm going to sit back and vegetate with my critters. )
