i'm almost positive that it's a he.

i had two hens one died last spring and I got two more chicks, spent so much time with all three so they would all get along and now one of the young ones is looking like a roo. i can't have roosters where i live. i know the sex is not guaranteed but the feed store where i got them said they even pay extra to have them sexed...wouldn't you know it i end of with the one that's a boy.

i have no idea how to find a home for him...how many people are going to want a rooster? other than to eat?

You can try to sell him on craigslist. I would say that you are not selling him for food because he is really handsome.

i know...he's so pretty! he's been my favorite...i should have known since the boy's are always pretty!

Yes you are correct it is a HE and HE is beautiful! Try craigslist as pointed out or possibly a local poultry swap if your area sets them up!

Is he an EE? If so, I know around me, people love to have them... Even the roo's. If he's a nice boy, that is even better! I put a pair of EE's on craigslist, and it only took LITERALLY 5 minutes to sell them! The guy came the very next day and picked them up, no questions asked. He was happy with them, and I was THRILLED

unfortunately, he's a bit timid although he's getting braver these days when i try to hand feed him treats!
