I HATE Cucumbers! lol. But I will check this out too.

I've had a hard time with my moonflowers this year too. It's been so dry, stage 2 drought! My rain barrells had dust in the bottom of them all summer!

I can't imagine eating sea cucumbers unless it was for say, radiation. Gross little things.

Well, after seeing that vid ................

Sea cucumbers are off the list!

How are you doing CM? Your fans want to know!

I truly hope you are handling the routine very well this time.

My moonflowers did not do well at all this year either. By the time they went to bud, it was too late in the season to notice any blooms at night. I think the drought messed them up. There's always next year. My tomatoes did great this year, I made 4 qts of sauce out of them.

And just today I picked the last of the green ones and I'll either try to ripen them at my kitchen window or use them green somehow.

Hey Biddybird!

Hey gang. Wish I could smile and say things are going great, but that would be a lie.

No more fevers, no stomach problems, but I dealing with some horrible muscle pain and cramping. Only time I can remember anything like this was when I was hit by a car when I was a kid. Broke just about everything on my left side. I've been sucking down anywhere from 100-200mg of demoral ever 3-4 hours! This on top of my meds prescribed for the neuropathy I already have (Zanaflex and Naproxen) This started Thursday afternoon and hasn't let up much since then. We were at the hospital Thursday night where they dosed me with more demoral. Works for a while but then comes back with a vengence. It's not constant in one place, it kind of jumps all over, each day hitting new spots along with the ones that have been hurting. Lurchie is on his way to the pharm to pick up something the doc just prescribed. Let's hope this helps!

I summoned up all I had today and went to Petsmart today with my girl.

Look who graduated!!! First time my trainer had a deaf dog! Katie did all of her skills on the first time asked. She didn't like the hat on her head. I got the typical Katie pic--blurred, lol. Trainer is sending me a better one that I can put in her baby book.

teddy.jpg

This was her only classmate, Teddy! He thinks he is a dog 20x's his size!

Don't worry guys, I'll be fine. I've got ya'll on my side, how can I loose?!

So you traded in the pukes for the muscle cramps eh? I think I would have done the same
big_smile.png
We know you'll be alright. Silly. Hope the new stuff helps you.

I went to my Petsmart today too. I needed some happy stuff, so I picked up a 5 gal fish tank (to start off with) and set it all up with fake plants and heater and all. Tomorrow I'll get the little fishies. It's cool looking and soothing at the same time.
smile.png
Well, it was either that or I was gonna grab all the kittens there

Good girl, Katie.

Make your momma proud.

aww, coyote. I am sorry. I agree with Kate. It is a shame we can't do a tag team thingy for you. I am not sure I could endure it. You seem much stronger than me, but I'd give it a go for you.

I want to see Katie in her cap when the lady sends you a better picture.

Teddy is a character alright. We had to put our old dog down Wednesday evening. The vet came to the farm and put him down there. It was the most peaceful thing. I miss him, but he had a great long life.
...but now I am letting the cosmos know that there is an opening. Nature abhors a vacuum, and we have one.
Some doggie will need us, and the spirits that be will send us one. I might need one sooner than they think we do though. Loss is difficult. I still hold the door open for three dogs, and only two come in.

I keep reminding myself that this world is all about checks and balances. light/dark, happy/sad, large/small, etc.. I hurt therefore someone else does not. If I don't hurt, then someone else must hurt. If not me, then who? It's thinking of the possible "then who"s that helps me cope.

The new med is something used for seizures and other things. At the moment I can't remember what it is and just too tired to get out of the recliner. It's numbing the edges.

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss! Your vet did a wonderful thing, god holds a special place for people who go that extra step to help another. I still listen for Spook to come check on me now that I am back on chemo. She would walk in to where I was in the recliner, lick my hand and the go back to her spot by the front door. I still hear the tippy tap of her toenails across the tile floor.

Katie still has to sleep in her kennel at night even though she is housebroken. She's a chewer and would have the house eaten by morning if I let her. Hopefully she will outgrow it like Spook did. I've called her "pook" a couple of times by accident, so has Lurchie. Good thing she can't hear me!

How are you today Coyote?

Has the cramping/pain lessened for you? I know all about those muscle aches and how sporadic they are. I didn't get them as bad as you
sad.png
but I know exactly what you mean. You got hit by a car when you were a kid? Holy crap...........I believe you need a break already!

I need a break too but for different reasons. I'm at my wits end here! I don't know what to do! DH wrenched his back by doing a simple task as bending over ever so slightly and threw his lower back out - about 3 weeks ago. One night while I was at radiation he fell on the hard tiled kitchen floor and laid there until I came home (45 mins or so later) His pain got worse and we went to the Orthopedic Dr and his X-ray showed two fractures in his spine. The only time they had for an MRI is Nov 2, meanwhile he can't move or do anything for himself and is in extreme pain, and to top it all off because of his vulnerability to his immune system he caught something and had a fever last night and while I was cleaning him and the area around him he barfed. He can't even walk himself to the bathroom 10 feet away. I cut an opening in a milk jug for him to use to pee in.
hmm.png

Last night between my bouts of diarrhea and checking on him (he slept all night, finally) I'm ready to blow! Last night I noticed both his feet are swollen...WTH???? He's on the couch propped up with every pillow we own. I'm going to wait it out since it's Sunday.......tomorrow or tonight if he's not the slightest bit better I'm not sure what to do, call an ambulance? He can't even hold a glass of water without dropping it.
sad.png
And I can't help lift him, he's over 200 lbs. plus I don't have my regular strength back yet. ugh ugh ugh

I was reading in bed last night to help me sleep and when I got tired I turned off the lamp and put my glasses and book down. Slept for 1/2 an hour and my lamp blinked on at 4 am..........I took that as a sign and went downstairs to check on him. What the heck is going on??? my lamp never did that before........

Luna,
Do you have anyone who could help you get your husband to an urgent care facility today? If not, I would be calling an ambulance.

If he can't walk to the bathroom, and you are having to do all this nursing care yourself, very soon you will both be bedridden. The doctor should have given him some pain meds, at the very least. I'd be listing the things that they should have provided, if I thought you should be trying to care for him at home. However, I'm really concerned that you are doing too much, and he is not getting the attention from the doc that would seem appropriate.

Luna, I agree with Steff, jump on that doc to get you some help for your hubby. It's insane for him having to wait for them to do anything for him.

I'm doing much better today. I'm only hurting bad on occassion now not like it's been the last few days. I admit it, I did my best not to scream because Lurchie was so upset with how I was feeling. He would have just burst out in tears if I had. Gonna have a long talk with my doc on Tuesday. I can't go through this again.

Yeah I was hit by a car. I was surfing down the hill by my house. Surfing as in standing up on the seat one foot on the handle bars. First time I ever made it to the bottom without having to jump off and somebody didn't look close enough before they turned the corner. I didn't really get hit, the bike did and I went flying. My mom called me an accident waiting to happen and friends called me "Crash". I've broken my left hip, thigh ankle, all 3 left arm bones, and 6 ribs when hit by the car, 3 fingers playing dodgeball, my nose playing 3rd base, my neck (actually a dislocation of the top 3 vertebre) in a car accident my car only had a busted taillight!, my right wrist and middle toe one my left foot plus burned sinuses because of a chlorine tank explosion, the outside bone on my right foot by tripping over a curb--spiral fracture, looked like a chicken wing bone when Spook was done eating it!

Lurchie swears someday he is going to find the right button and when he pushes it pieces are going to go flying every where, lol
