What are you doing up at that hour?
I'm usually in bed sleeping, but lately around 3 or 4 in the morning I'm awake. So I read til my eyes get tired, drop my book and sleep a little more until my cat Luna or her little sister Sammy jumps on the bed to play. When I don't respond, they curl up next to me and take a nap.
I didn't go out to have steak. DH was really tired and I'm not much for going out lately so we ordered fried chicken with fried potato skins and other fried junk we shouldn't eat....well I paid for that the next day. I was running to the bathroom all morning. That'll teach me. And I had to go over to the hospital to get those little stitches out, and I was worried that I would need the bathroom again......but it was OK, I didn't need to. *whew* The people at the hospital are very nice, but I get nervous if I go near one right now and this hospital won't be the one I have to go to if I get a high temp (cause of the chemo) I will have to go to the one that is closer in my town. They're nice there too, but they also have a record for staph infections.
I guess that can happen anywhere....
I'll be cleaning out the rest of my garden beds today and tomorrow and whatever I can do on Monday & Tuesday, keep myself busy and my mind free for a while. I was in the grocery store yesterday and I noticed one of the clerks had on a wig and you can tell she was a chemo patient. I thought "not bad, not too noticeable" I wonder if I would even notice the wig or her mild eyebrows if I wasn't in this position (?)
Coyote, did you adopt your Luna's other litter mates? How nice for them! So, how many critters do you have now? Your DH doesn't mind? I have 4 cats, 1 old Pomeranian and 5 chooks. That's enough for me, since I'm the one who takes care of them all. I suppose I'll have to pick up some face masks for when I scoop the litter box. I bought a boat load of hand sanatizer and couple of soft toothbrushes so I don't damage my gums. There's so much to think about to prepare myself! I heard from Sara yesterday.....she went for her second treatment yesterday and said she was losing her hair in clumps now. So I'm figuring mine will be coming out around mid May. If it comes out clumpy I'll have DH shave my head, heck I'm always shaving his to keep him looking mean, now he'll have to do mine. He better do a good job! I think I'll go to JoAnn's and pick up some fabric and make my own scarves. CM - what kind of head gear were you wearing, and how is your hair now? Told you I can be a PIA with my nosy questions.
