You aren't suppose to be up until tomorrow night!!
You are going to be just fine! You have done your research. You have talked to the experts (me, lol) You are Ready!
Cocktail, hmmmmmmmmm Welches Red Grape Juice is just a touch sweeter than some good red wines, plus it and red wine are good for your blood. I don't drink (well, I don't drink anymore) but I love a glass with a nice dinner of pasta or STEAK. I admit it I am a carnivour!
I so love Mangoes!!! I have developed a severe allergy to them but still drool everytime I walk past them at the store. Bananas are good too. They have to be just turned yellow. Not one brown spot on them.
You know you can actually pop them in the fridge after they are right. Their skin will get darker after a few days but they won't get any riper.
I am a true believe that your body craves want it needs. I'm trying to eat much better. Its hard doing on a very limited budget. I'm allergic to everything and have to make most meals from scratch. Have you seen the cost of tomatoes!! I don't like salad. I like all the stuff you put in a salad, carrots, tomatoes, onions, mushroom, zukes, radish. You can leave the lettuce out, lol I can't wait until my garden starts coming in. My cherry tomatoes have flowers on them!!!!
During treatment I craved water. Lots and lots of water. In me, on me, me in it!! Every chance I could, I was in my kayak, on the lake or in the lake. That was my escape. When I was there the world went away and I could be just plain ol' me for as long as I could float.
I also had to create. My hands and brain had to be involved in something. Wether it were quilting, drawling, or writing. I wasn't strong enough to work. I had worked 12 hour days with young felons. Now I was home with nothing but me and the dog.
And I ended up playing Farmville on Facebook!! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOn't let yourself get like me!!!
Good morning everyone! I leave in a few minutes for Hurdle #8. This should be interesting! I can fit in my old jeans now, so I'm wearing them with a black cotton v neck and a leopard scarf to tie some of my hair back so I look the scene.
And black flip flops. They'll probably tell me to wear regular shoes, so I don't stub my toe or something.......
I'll be thinking about you guys and let you know how it went later on today. And, of course, later, later on.
I am glad you are sharing this with us. The more we know the better we can help someone else later. Family, neighbors, friend, or ourselves. I know a lot of survivors and they all had lots of people around them helping and
You should be done or about done with treatment, so I was checkin' to see if you made it home yet . It's a long boring day. Just let us know what you are home safe and haven't killed off the Mr. because of "roid" rage.
It went well, and then I wanted to take care of the chooks. I didn't get any reactions from the stuff. They started me on Benadryl and an anti nausea drip the first 45 mins. Then they started me on the taxol real slow for 20 mins. No reactions, so she speeded me up on that for 2 hrs & 45 mins. When that was done they got a bag of carboplatin for 30 mins. Then I was done.
The nurse said women at my age with that combo usually suffer the most with the aches especially in the legs. She asked me if I had any pain meds, and to use them, but not too much, cause they can cause constipation. So I figure I won't feel too much until around Friday/Saturday. That means today and tomorrow I'll just be waiting for the other shoe to drop.
