So tell me about your Buff Orphington ducks!

We have 3 Buff ducks. 2 gals and 1 guy. They are pretty calm, pretty, not overly loud now at almost 1. Lay pretty good. The Buff girls are a favorite of all the drakes for some odd reason. We are actually rehoming our Buff drake this month. He's a sweet guy!

Our 'scovies don't really care that their flockmates are 'different.' We've got a pretty peaceful group at the moment.

The only real noise we get is twice a day, when the ducks hear me leaving the house to go feed them. The Anconas-plus-Seelie quack it up during my walk out to their pen. I toss their peas around the pen and they attack them with gusto. The Muscovies stay under my feet while I go pour grain into the trough and then the Muscovies dive into that. (It's the Muscovies we raise for meat, but I swear, if we ever do eat the Anconas-plus-Seelie, they will be THE healthiest meat, preferring the greens over the grains *chuckle*)
Good, i think i probably sound silly, the Muscovy don't seem to mind the chickens, they are penned within the duck pen so can be right beside them, i think they are rather curious about the vocals the girls do in comparison to their rather quiet vocals.

Thanks, nice to hear, laying is not of great importance to me, right now i am getting 2-3 eggs a day and have been since Jan so my 'scovies are strangely pretty good, i just thought it would be fun for some variety, should be interesting to see how the drakes respond. This will give the boys 5 girls a piece, how they break this down should be fascinating to watch.
