I feed my chickens whiskey mash for $4 per 5 gal bucket and that equates to less then half of the cost of chicken feed. I have had the mash tested and the only thing missing to make a complete diet is calcium. you could ad a salt block or mix chicken feed to get them the calcium. I mix with feed to make the right consistensy. they chickens love it and so do the pigs. The guy I get it from gets it free from a distillery and once they filter off the alcohol there is none left in the mash. He feeds his pigs and cows for free with mash and produce farm scraps. I pay $4 for 5 gal. If you can find a steady supply you could be on your way to free or cheap feed.
