So today we added 6 to our flock...is this "chicken math"?

I had 2 new baby ducks, got 8 new chickens 3 turkeys (lost 2) and just found out I have 7 more baby ducks waiting for me when I get home!!!!!!! and then on top of it all I just ordered today... 25 more chicks..... hmmmmmmm

I think it is very important for the children. Thats my story, and I am sticking to it. The children are a niece and nephew that live a mile away.

Remember folks, a Silkie is only 1/2 a chicken using chicken math. If you want 12 chickens you should get 24 if they are Silkies. Also if you don't know what breed your birds are, they don't count, so you are free to go get more.

I started out wanting 3 hens for fresh eggs in the morning, Got 3 hybrids, Passed them onto my brother ... Incubated 12 more eggs, Hatched 8, Kept 3 on my garden, Lost them to a dog, Next day got another 3, Gained another 2 bantams (1 and 1/2 chicken) Put another 8 eggs in incubator to no avail..so I put another batch of 8 in straight after, Picked up 6 more hybrids today,

Now i have 10 hens in my garden and 8 eggs in bator ... and looking at getting some ducks too
, During this time i too was given a bunny for my niece ..


Not bad saying all i wanted was an egg a day ... didnt think it would lead to wanting the chick from that egg

just an update on how it works with other animals............. As off last night my mama duck hatched out 13 BABIES!!!!!!!
