So Very Sad...RIP Kermit

When death happens, it's human nature to blame ourselves. Hindsight is 20/20 (I never understood this until something happened that I really wish I could have changed).

I really feel for your daughter, so sorry it happened. I am glad to hear that your DD and Althea are back to their routines of buds.

Have you had your dog's thyroid level tested since she's been on medication? If her thyroid level has gone too high, it can cause hyperactivity (how would you tell with a border collie) and could cause unpredictable behavior. The dosage level on the medication may need to be changed. It can take a little tweaking and testing to reach the appropriate dosage.

I'm sorry for your loss

I am so sorry you are going through this. My dog Albert is a sweetheart, but he has seizures and is on meds. I have noticed a significant increase in his aggression since he has been medicated. I can't trust him with people that come into the house. He always bites them (he is a little dog, so no one has been seriously hurt). That may be the cause with your dogs strange behavior. I'm so sorry, I want my dog off meds, but the vet doesn't think it's a good idea. It's frying his brain more than the seizures, I know it.
