Ok.. so the "bunch" at the end of the zipper was due to the fact that the back came down into a V shape... leaving all that extra material I couldn't seem to pin out. It required darts on the backside to compensate. Here are my updated photos... we're ALMOST done!
The extra fabric that was causing a problem
The solution was to dart along the back/sides
and ready to sew them up (those are my legs this is laying in my lap)
And the hopefully 2nd to last fitting... zipper isn't sewn in yet and neither is the slit up the back (which was necessary for movement). The trim around the waist is pinned on, and we're using a temporary ribbon to tie the corset together.. decided to go with black satin on that.. will have to get to the fabric store first.
I'm SO happy...still gotta got lots of things to work on.. but by and large we are IN THE HOME STRETCH!!!!
