So......what breed would you NOT have again----which ones didn't stick

I know most people love theirs, but my Black australorps are not nice to baby chicks. They go broody, but seem to hate babies

I probably wouldn't get another Golden Pencilled Hamburg. The one McMurry included in my Ornamental Collection is pretty enough, but she is very flighty and always keeps her distance. Not much personality either. Won't give her up though, she's one of our originals.

Not a real big fan of Old English Game bantams either. Some of the ones I've had were so loud and obnoxious. Attacking other chickens and yelling about everything!

Campines -- unless I could free range them in which case they would probably be wonderful. For confinement in a pen, though, even a BIG BIG pen like mine, they are just way too caffeinated and ambitious and crazy.

I am not sure what breed I would not have again. I said I wouldnt have cochins again but I have had them a few seperate times. I think all breeds are good in moderation, even the ones you dont like. I like our layer flock right now, we have some barred rocks, some layers, wyandottes, hamburgs, sumatras, phoenix, OEGB, sebrights, and some mutts. Now that I think about it I probably wouldnt have sultans again. They were always so dumb, couldnt see, always got poop on them or broken foot feathers. They were too much maintenance.
