What are your must have items in your flock's first aid kit?

Previously, I just had:

Saline wash
Iodine wash
Vet wrap
neosporin
baby aspirin
blu-kote
oral syringes
electrolyte mix

After a recent injury, I now have:

syringes (oral and injectable)
penicillin
needles (20 and 22 gauge)
Vetericyn spray


I have a ton of other basic first aid stuff in the house as I'm an avid hiker and like to be prepared...most of it has been used for animals at one time or another as it adapts to that usage.

I never thought to have a chicken first aid kit but now, I will by the weekend. Thank you guys and gals for posting this. I am new and so far no major things have happened. I do have a bottle of sulmet and a sav-a-chick packet but what is the other stuff and where can I get the needles and sutures for stitches? Thanks

My local TSC has sutures and needles, too. I'd go through Jeffers for most of your 'vet' type needs, though. Their prices are lower than most.

I still need/want betadine wash, blood clotting powder, needles, sutures, probiotics, penicillin, neomycin soluble and baytril.
With the issues I've been having, I like a well stocked chicken medicine cabinet. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

SWAT it is for horses but is fine on chickens it keeps a wound covered.up and away from flys.
