So what does the Ovation thing mean??

welcome! you start out with ten. every time you click the little thumbs up at the bottom of a post, you lose a ovation, and the person that posted the post you 'ovated' gets another one.

Your ovations are not deducted for giving someone else a ovation. If this is happening to you please let the staff know.

What is a unique Ovation then?

A unique ovation is the number of people that have given you a thumbs up. It only counts the people once. If i give you 2 ovations it will only count as 1 unique ovation. While you may have 40 Ovations you might only have 20 unique ovations.

Ovations are meant for when something is truly helpful. Not just for playing around with. While ovations are fun and exciting to get, they should only be given if somebody said something that was actually helpful, and it is part of ovation etiquette not to ask for ovations.
