So what happened to you in the first seconds of 2012?

I fell asleep.

tried to stay up! (only got to 11:00)

I turned off the light and rolled over, feeling accomplished.

I tried to stay up but only made it till 8:00

i did sleep good so i would say i slept good in the first seconds.

Dh came home from work at 1130pm and poured us both a drink to toast in the New Year.

I went outside to lock doors .... heard a young lady crying and sobbing; checked to see what was wrong and ended up walking her home to safety.

Got home at 24 minutes past midnight all soggy from the rain (had my slippers on and no coat because I hadn't intended being out!)

Dh was miffed I missed the moment; then annoyed I didn't consider my own safety by ensuring that of the young lady; then calmed down and remembered ... that's the type of person I am!!!

Not how I'd planned it, but, it was worthwhile

my neighbors must have been partying good. they had the mud trucks out beating them around the field after midnight.
