Snoooooooooooore! We made our own little fireworks!

Daughter was dead asleep in her bed even she wanted to stay up all night to see what's the hoopla was all about.

We went on a road trip, stayed in a hotel and let our 5 and 6 year old stay up til midnight to watch ball drop after swimming, ordering pizza in room. (a treat we cannot get at home, as in the boonies, no delivery or pool in December).

Ball dropped, and then my 6 year old said, "what now?".

I said "bed.".

He said "really, that's all? Lame."

"Yep. Let's get to bed so we can visit friends tomorrow.".
