So what would you think about this eBay situation UPDATED

That sounds great Susan! As a seller, I know I would have appreciated that email. Good luck with your transaction.

I agree; it sounds like the seller is doing her best to send fresh eggs, and your response email was excellent. I know as both a seller and buyer on ebay that there can be misunderstandings or miscommunications, and a clarifying email such as yours would be welcomed and appreciated. Sounds like you've got everything nice & clear, and you both know what to expect. Good luck with your hatching!

Okay, so this has turned into my first really really really bad eBay experience.

This seller finally sent me eggs. They arrived on Friday. They were packaged well, but one of them was sweaty and smelly when I opened it, so I threw it away. I contacted the seller but haven't heard a word back.

Today I was cleaning up the bathroom where the incubator is and realized that it smelled worse than it should. I opened the bator, and the smell got much worse. I picked up the first egg, and it smelled .... not good. When I got to the fourth egg I found a serious serious stinking oozing mess.

I am thinking I will have to throw away the whole dozen. I do NOT want to risk my 'bator and all future hatches because this person (Jacqueline Forte, Uptownpet) scammed me.

So much for my hopes for more Bantam Salmon Faverolles.....

That was mean of her!

And I bet she was just in it to get the money; not to please her costumer!

That's sooo stupid of her to do!!!
I would email her again and tell her what happened and that you want a refund. That's not right for her to send you bad eggs and then she gets the reward!

I hope it all works out for you!

Sorry about your bad luck with the eggs.

Oh, you can bet I've emailed her....a couple of times. At the moment she doesn't have anything listed, so who knows when she will check, but....
Luckily I haven't left feedback yet, so I still have at least a small amount of clout....

I bet she sent you old eggs. I would def. take out the eggs and throw them out. Then I would go on to ebay and leave her a bad follow up review.

I did throw them all away. I decided it wasn't worth the risk to my 'bator and my sense of smell for the next days as I waited and watched and worried.

The bator is soaking in a hot tub....(not a bad gig if you can get it)....

I have shipped many egg,all my auction I state egg will not be older than2 days at shipping.

This seller sent you old eggs, and i bet they did not keep them cool. Eggs would not go bad in the 4 days of shipping. Not to the point your were.
Ask for a refund price of auction plus shipping. If not give negative feedback. So other buyer will no. seller can not give you negative feedback.

I've gotten lots of shipped eggs, and I know you are absolutely right. I've never ever had eggs go bad on me. Obviously these were old old old when she sent them, and I have asked her for a refund. I am going to hold off giving her feedback until I see if she complkies with my request or not.

Hey SusanJo,
I got eggs from Marie_Martin. They were silkie/sizzle eggs, but she told me she had bantam salmon faverolles (cuz her kids helped with the eggs and I may have got one). I had a 100% hatch from her so if I were you I'd give her a pm and see if she has any eggs
