So what's going in your garden this year?

I was just working on my order awhile ago. Henry Field's has a deal where you get $25 off your order if you order by Feb. 6 so going to take advantage of that.

Romano Bush Beans
Tomatoes
Peppers of all kinds, but not so much the hot kind
Okra
Sweet Corn

I have red raspberries planted, strawberries, and want to add black raspberries, grapes and more asparagus. I have some already in the garden, but we love it so much I need more.

I also want to plant lettuce, radishes, and try beets again. For some reason our soil will not grow beets. We have a LOT of alpaca poop to spread around this year, so we are happy about that!!

I know there is more, OH! Cantelope, watermelon, pumpkins, zucchini and cukes!!! How could I forget those!!!

Plan on canning as much as I possibly can and what I can't, I will freeze!!!

I hate being shut inside. I really can t wait for warm, dry weather. I got a Burgess catalog last week.

How do you set up your sprouts? I was thinking of just using a room in the basement and adding a grow light or two. My house is quite dark, no windows have direct sun.

Hi! Our garden will be bigger and better this year. Planting mostly the same old same old, but a bigger space so Hubby won't be so prone to crowd rows as he is planting.
Planning to kick out several non-producing 'heirloom veggies' for more productive varieties. Heirloom tomatoes are kicking my butt. I don't care if it makes the best-tasting-tomato-on-the-planet, it's a moot point if a plant makes 2 tomatoes, then dies.
I have to pick my battles in the garden and I'm tired of fighting non-producing 'heirloom tomatoes'.

I'll be planting the usual:

Broccoli
Spinach
Corn
Tomatoes
Carrots

We get potatoes and onions from my in-laws.

This year I would like to also plant:

Asparagus
Cherry tomatoes
Beets

Potatoes
tomatoes
spinach
lettuce
cucumbers
green beans
bell peppers
zuckini squash
carrots
onions
and I am going to try garlic this year

I just split and re-planted my wifes Basil. She kept taking the leaves from it leaving just stems. I finaly asked her why and she said that she thought it was done growing so she was just using it up. I asked her how would new leaves be growing if it was done. No answer, just defence. I told her to give it alittle time and she would be surprised at how much more she will get.

Did I mention that my MIL has a huge green house vegetable business.

Sweet corn

zuchinni
yellow squash
spinach

cucumbers
potatos
bush beans
strawberry's

Got a couple of different hot peppers for the hubby.
