So what's your chickens favorite...yet weird treat?

Mine have several but the ones that come to mind are Doritos.

Today DD was snacking on some Doritos while doing yard work with me and set the bowl down to go get me a yard tool on the other side of the property.
I continue planting and even smiled as I heard Comet (one of our roos), signal the all call to his hens that he had found a treat.
Next, I heard DD running up behind me with the garden tool and then I hear...MOM!!!

I look up and Comet and his hens have flipped the dish of Doritos and are happily crunching away.

Too funny!!

My chicks go nutso over pb&j sandwhiches. When rehabbing an old chicken, she would only work for pb&j, nothing else!

However, they think a bread bowl of clam chowder w/ cole slaw in the summertime hits the right spot.

Bone Marrow.... I toss the meat bones outside for the girls to pick clean and they all fight over the bone marrow..

My chickens have been free range for the past 2 weeks and they keep navigating underneath an old walnut tree by the edge of our corn field. They spend hours digging and scratching over there- must be something really good that they are finding, Although, I have no idea what.

Tiny little brown spots on my hands and arms. I have silkies that have such big head puffs they can hardly see to walk but they can target a new brown freckle on my arm from 2 feet away.
