so who else is having coffee trying to stay awake to help Santa?

They are just climbing into bed. They watched two movies and opened one gift each. My sister bought them both guns...air soft and nerf and they want to stay up and play with them......It will 1/2 hour or more before the are out enough. I've had half a bottle of bubbly and now all I want to do is sleep.....sandman hurry. Please, I need Santa to come soonest...

Presents wrapped, just waiting for the middle 11 yr old to get into bed, he refuses to get to bed before the santa tracker gets close...

Other days bedtime, no problem, just tonight, lol.
After that stockings and bed.
I'm on my fifth cup of coffee, very tired, it's so worth it!

We were adopted by a store through the school who gave the kids clothes/toys/food/giftcard and a church gave us gifts/food/gift card. This year has been a hard one for us ,in september my DD hurt her leg and was in the hospital an hour away for 6 weeks, DH watched the kids but he had to cut his hours by 1/2( which he doesn't make too much) and it cost so much to park/gas/food it wasn't funny, I stayed at the hospital and din't go home at all. We are truely blessed this year.

Put DD to bed about an hour ago, she was so tired from staying up waiting for Santa and watching those classics Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, etc. those cute animation. They are not made of clay, aren't they?

We're watching 'A Christmas Carol' with Kelsey Grammer which the kiddos have watched I don't know how many times....it's background noise since we watch musicals all the time, this one we've been playing since a few days before Thanksgiving every so often, love it, very relaxing.

Going to give a few minutes for settling down, then it's stocking time!
I love my kids so much, this is one of those precious times that mean a lot to me, this quiet time where I'm sneaking around them, instead of the reverse.

They're getting older, 18, 11, and 8.

The 18 yr old obviously is into his things, but Christmas is special and even though he does know, for tonight, disbelief has been suspended.

He has Asperger's, and is brilliant intellectually, but socially, well, he's getting there!

I'm just thankful for our family, we're together, we may argue, drive each other crazy and we have issues, but we are here and we love each other.
