lol. maybe that will be me too. hehe. i was tempted to get on there tonight to mow a little patch that wasn't yet mowed.. but im waiting for the Oldest DD to pooperscoop before hehe.

Congrats on your mowing experience!

I push mow a patch behind one of our gardens and use the riding mower on all the other flat parts of our property...Hubster takes care of all the hilly parts (there's a BUNCH of them).

I've always found it relaxing to sit on the rider and go around in circles...I'll pour a plastic cup of tea to sip on while I'm riding, but most of the time I end up spilling half of it

Chickeypoo, I' have enjoyed this thread. Brings back some happy memories.

My late father-in-law was so proud of his lawn. He was old, retired. Mom died
10 years ago. The man mowed his lawn two, three times a week.

He had a stroke, wasted his right side. Lost his left arm back in 84, he was a
lineman for the electric company. He was pretty well crippled at that point. Came
to live with us.

But we kept his home for him. Used to take him "home" every few days for a visit.
That was his home.

Wheelchair bound. He couldn't walk on his own. But he wanted so bad to mow his
yard.

I would roll him out in the yard, pick him up and put him on his mower. Made him a
seatbelt so he couldn't fall off. Make him use the slower gears, he'd cut his grass and
I'd walk beside him.

I think he hit every tree in the yard. Hit the neighbors pickup. It the house. But he was
just laughing away. (we were going way to slow to hurt anything.)

How much he enjoyed that.

And that's the happy memory this thread has brought to my mind. He would make me
wash his mover every time we used it.

The man really liked his Craftsman.

Aww. What a nice story.

I like my Craftsman too although I'm not that fond of using it...
