Soap Makers Help!

Wow Don you did a great job. It's hard to get the individual molds to come out so nice!

so for those silicone moldes... I used a heart mold.. and it was red.. it seemed to discolor my soaps.. any thoughts on this?

I was worried about that as well. Although I have seen molds intended for soaping that are a brick red in color, I opted to stick with the pink ones when purchasing at Target. I haven't had any problem with them discoloring the soap.
 
Don~those sure are some purty soaps. I also love that TX sunset and I just seen one like that down here the other night when I was looking out over the critters.

As far as the mold discoloring the soap, I didn't experience that at all. My mold was a brown/dark tan color and the soaps are still creamy colored with the oatmeal specks in them. I dont know if 'quality' of the mold makes a difference or not, this is a Pampered Chef mold.

Now every time I look at somethin, I wonder if I can mold a soap in it. LOL

Speaking of which, anyone here ever use a cooking spray like Pam to help release?
