I'll post pictures later of the molds, I'll be soaping them both tonight. AJP and Lemon Verbena.

To infuse the oils, I put the herbs in my crock pot and cover with olive oil. Cook on low for 4 hours. I then let them keep infusing in jars. I use the infused oil at 10-25% of my oils. For lighter colors like the comfrey I used 25% and for the Witches brew one (yellow dock) I used 12 %.

The dragon's blood should give me a mauve color. I also have some sandalwood chips going.

SO glad for you! I can't wait to see your pics. Tonight made a beautiful lemon cream soap made with bw lemon tart. It smells like a lemon pie is cooking in my kitchen, just wonderful. The fo turned it a beautiful lemon color. I was all set with my calendula powder but never needed it.

Lookin' forward to mold pics!!

DUN Chick...your description made me crave lemon pie and NOW I'm up at 11pm raiding my pantry to make lemon meringue pie!! I actually have all the ingredients!!

Dun chick, i can't wait to see pictures, that sounds so yummy! Is it a tart lemon scent or sweet?

Whew! I finally have some time to sit and relax! I got so much to say not sure where to begin.

market report: was a slow day, hot and humid. I did $76, not horrible, but of course I would have liked to done better. I pretty much sold only soap today and 3 roll on perfumes, no lotions or herbal body sprays.

Mold report: OMG, I am seriously in love with these molds. they did not stick at all and my sides are as smooth as glass! I'll have to post pictures tomorrow, I forgot to take some after the I poured the soap, so when I soap again tonight I snap some then. there was no leakage at all, but i did pour at a medium/thick trace. The only down side is I totally miscalcualted how much oils to use and it was filled all the way to the top! I have about of cup of soap that didn't get added that I was going to swirl with but just didn't have the room. I'll cut back for my next batch. But let me tell you, if anyone is looking for a new mold, check them out. Logan bear candal molds. Oh, I only soaped the AJP, ran out of time last night.

Truck update: The truck is back and running fine, except I must have ran over a nail and now I need to get my tire fixed. But hubby and I went gambling in La before we went to get the truck and we won $2980.00!!!! Dh got a $2400 jackpot on one of the slot machines. And we lucked out and it was only $380 to get the truck fixed so we can out way ahead. how cool is that!

I now have a soap shop of my very own! one of our neighboors has these portable buildings and long story short, sold two of them to us for just a little bit over cost. I now have a 10x14 that's going to get a little work done to it and then when we move it will be my soap shop. It has a door big enough to get drums though and a window that I can put a window unit ac in. It's already set for electricity we jsut have to put the light and power outlet in and insulate it. the other will be for Dh, it's a 10x10 with no window.

How lucky you and your dh are! So glad to hear of your windfall. The bw lemon tart is tart and sweet at the same time, exactly like a lemon pie would be. I forgot to insulate my mold and got a partial gel. It was late and I was really loving the lemon ice color I had, but the soap smells awesome and already the color is coming together so I think it will be okay. I'm relatively new at this but every batch I do I am learning. I really love all the scents I have gotten from bw so I highly reccomend. I plan on ordering more this weekend. I will post pics, gotta find that camera! I was thinking I need a little workshop if just to hold all my soaps.
That mold sounds great I need to order another mold because I'm just able to do a batch every couple of days.

I can't remember off the top of my head, who is Bw?

If you got a partial gel it should fade some over time so that it is a more uniform color.

That's great, it so much fun huh!
