Soap Makers Help!

Today I made Jewelweed soap. I made a broth by boiling the entire plant (except roots). I also put in dried jewelweed flowers and leaves at trace. It smells heavenly.

Then, since I already had everything out....I made Oswego Tea (monarda) and lemon balm. I held back just enough soap to add lemon balm and a splash of lemon grass EO and some green color. I love playing with swirls:) I would have drank the remaining tea...if not for the caterpillar that floated to the surface while it was steeping..lol.

I have lots of holiday FO's coming wednesday. Pictures soon:)

Would you be willing to share your moisturizing bar or maybe a link to something simular?

I am collecting supplies to try the chocolate mint & a honey almond. I am having fun with this & hope to try to swirl the Chocolate mint.

Thanks will have to try some. I also have a good place for butter milk and thats on my TOD soap list. Right now I need to remake my recipe again. It is too hot for the one I normally make since it is more drying bar.

What recipe are you using now? If you don't mind sharing, understand if you don't want to.
If you need a gentler bar, Use atleast 30% OO and not too much Co. Up your superfat a bit too.

I understand Rustyswoman! I am with you still trying to finish it myself! I went to get the "The Soapmakers Companion" yesterday & started reading that too!

I hate that I didn't get started in this when the thread first started so I could see all the pictures!

I am so hooked! I have now made three batches! Plain white with no scent, Honey almond FO(I now know what seizing is), Chocolate peppermint will be un-molded today.

I think I am ready to look at other recipes now, I am having so much fun but I am running out of room for storage!!!

I'm sorry that I missed the soap swap
