Soap Makers Help!

wow..453 pages to read thur..debated even posting here.. was curious to few things....do most of yous use F.O. Or E.O. ??? and where do you order from? also.. where do you buy your oils / fats ? i have been a selling soap makers well over a dozen years ..but makin for own use much longer seems more like 1/2 my life...i can not use boughten soa:ps,shampoo, and laundry soaps...without rashes ..skin burns..ect..not a pretty sight.. i am trying to find best prices for EO..i dont use FO at all...last yr was my first yr of using shea butter and had allergic rash from it.. i am truely limited for myself in what goes into my product..i can be a bit more liberal in for sale bars. so if anyone would be willing to let me know where they get there EO from would really help me narrow down my search for best prices.

In my signature is a link to the reference thread I made. Lots of links to suppliers

Yes, my plain goat's milk is a favorite. Very nourishing and pure feeling. I'm going to do a liquid version to take to work with me. I need to replace that icky pink stuff in the restrooms.

I love making my own soap. I have very sensitive skin, so it is self quality control. I always have higher levels of superfat than normal, to help with chronic dry skin. I use both fragrance oils and essential oils.

Below is a goats milk soap, made using 75% olive oil, 15% coconut oil, and 10% sweet almond oil. I also added a bit of tussah silk to the lye/water mixture, where it dissolves. Why pay for liquid silk when the lye can do the same job with a few silk fibers? 1oz of tussah silk lasts forever since you only need a tiny bit. The scent I used was an oatmeal, milk, and honey (my favorite). I have no pictures of my latest batch of soap I made for a friend. Since I am not going to sell soap (too many legal issues), I know giving it as a gift is fine. So she bought me all the ingredients and I put it together. Nearly done curing! It is scented with just lavender EO.

This weekend I am making soap too. Same combo of oils, but without the GM and silk because I am teaching my father how to make soap since he loves the stuff I make. I think it is best to keep it simple for the first time! So the plan is to make two, 2lb batches. One will be mango mandarin FO, and the other using a rose FO.

I am looking for a fragrance oil that I absolutly love & can't find. I bought some soap from a lady that said the fragrance was Sea Gift. I then wanted to make some soap using that but she said she can't find it anymore. Does anyone here know of it or have you heard of it?
