I have only rebatched twice, both times were in the crockpot. If your soap is really fresh(less than a week) and still pretty soft, you can cut it into small chunks and put it in your crock pot with only a few teaspoons liquid per pound. If it is older I used my food processor and a few tablespoons liquid per pound. The stuff that was grated in the food processor melted faster because the pieces were smaller, but it was a total mess trying to grate the fresh soap. I'm not going to rebatch now unless I have to.

Since you added so much water I wouldn't add any extra liquid. I think I would try the crock pot on low until melted, turn on high and take the lid off to try and cook some of the extra water off.

Or you could talk half your soap (weigh it), melt it and make a half of a batch of normal soap and once you are at a very light trace add your melted rebatch, stir it in and pour. I would discount the water in te normal batch to compensate for the other.

Kathy Miller site has some rebatching info on it. www.millersoap.com

Good luck

And now you can call it french milled soap!

OK, that's the thing I wondered - the hour and a half. OK, that's doable. I've got to try it one of these days when I've gotten the whole color thing down. I've seen some cool ideas, like where you do the first layer on an angle, then lower it and add the second layer. So, rather than having a half & half color going, you have cross colors going. Hard to explain - think angles.

I've seen those too and they are so cool looking! I want to try doing that too. I have 3 more batches of rose geranium made, that leaves two more and then I'm done with my big order.

I want to layer my coconut lime verbena scent. First layer tan, then white then green.

It won't be till next week. I have to get those rose geraniums done first and then I need to do more lavender and oatmeal and lavender and goat's milk and lavender rosemary salt bars. I'm down to just 5 bars of those three combined.

Y'all keep your fingers crossed

I'm really nervous about the FM out here just because I don't get out and they have a good turn out from what I understand. I know it will be okay but I have anxiety attacks over even the smallest little thing and it usually involves something outside of the house. I had a break down a couple years back and know I have none of the confidence I used to have. It kinda sucks really cuz there are so many things I want to do and then I chicken out because I get to nervous. But never fear I can't back out of the FM. I'm in till the end lol.

Oh my goodness ladies. I really have to get off here and get my house work done. I should be washing dishes and doing laundry and starting dinner. I have an addiction problem I think
