I feel kinda bad about this but my gut feels a lot better having turned down the offer. At least she will have a chance to try samples.
DH was ok with it and I think he really appreciates all of you for guiding me through this. He doesn't know anything about any of this stuff so he had no suggestions for me. He knew it was keeping me up when I was trying to figure how I would keep up. I wanted to say something about the labels and FDA and what not but
1. She is on the forum
2. I usually have no problem voicing my opinion about anything but I wasn't sure how to go about that without coming off rude. (most people take me that way when I inform them about anything)
I tend towards being very straight forward so because of that I hardly have friends lol Just weeding out the bad ones I guess.

OH, a change of subject real quick. When the sun is up tomorrow for some good pic taking I will be posting pics of my soap I unmolded tonight. It came out better then I expected

I know I haven't posted in a bit. Don't ya just hate it when life gets in the way...

I've made about 5 batches of soap. I ran out of lye so I've had to wait. Yesterday I drove down to the city (almost 2 hour drive) to pick up some supplies for my dd's birthday party - shipping them was going to leave very little time for mess ups as the party is next weekend. So while getting the supplies for the lip balms and bath stuff I got more lye and I couldn't pass up the fragrances.

I had a list of the ones I was interested in and came home with 7 new ones, added some to my wish list and some that I am so glad I smelled first cause they were either not as pleasant as they sounded or they bothered my nose and I would have been disappointed to have bought. So hopefully today I will get a chance to try one of them. I also ordered the 9 bar mold from Kelsei's. I've been asked to supply soaps for a cottage resort down the road so I thought I better invest in a mold that keeps me away from a cutter..lol. The lady who owns the resort is more like a friend so I had given her some samples of the m&p and she really liked them. I told her I've switched to cp and she can't wait to get her samples of those - they're ready next weekend. I have made one just for her with a frag called "Ocean Breeze". Right now we are coming into golfing season, she gets fully booked up with male golfers so I have a scent for them that I want to try and get their opinion of. She also has a wedding this summer booked so I am going to make a sample batch up with "Amber Romance" (one of the new frags) for her to send to the bride-to-be. As well as I'm going to make up some attending gifts and take pictures of them and possibly a sample or two to send with the soaps. I don't know who's more excited, me or her...lol.
I better go get the housework done so I can do some soaping today.

Congrats on the new mold and fragrances. Can't wait to see some pictures! So what fo did you get?

I should get my tank on monday! I'm so excited! And it looks like I'm going to be able to attend the farmer's market Saturday. It will be one of the few all day markets. When the FM ends at 12, we move to a local winery for their festival. I'm hoping to do well.

Has anyone ever used mustard seed powder as a natural color? Will it turn brown from the lye? I have some in my cabinet and thought, "I wonder if I could soap that?"

The whole wondering if you could use that thing is funny. Yesterday when I went into town I saw a bathtub that someone had taken out and left on the side of the house. With DH in the car, my response was " I wihs that was by the road I could really use that as a brooder". You should have seen the look I got.

As for the new FOs...the ones I picked up yesterday are: Amber Romance, Clean Cotton, Macintosh Apple, Satin Sheets, Honeysuckle (LOVE this one), Heather (not as fond of it but it will make a nice room freshener), Rainforest Orchid.
I also just got my order in from my other supplier and I had ordered: FO - Jasmine, Bahama Berry & Melon (this will work for the resort too!), Orange Creamsicle (started craving for one after I smelled it...lol.), and Honeydew Melon. I also ordered Peppermint eo and tangerine eo.

Now I can't decide which I want to make...LOL.
