Great to hear you did well and from the photo it looks like both you and hubby had a good time.

As for my swirling, I poured into the mold but the problem was the creamsicle side was way past light trace by the time I got it the way I wanted it. I rack it up to my lack of experience so I know it will get better as I practise. The kids love it either way and it's turning out useable and making my hands so soft, which is what counts right now.

chiknwhisper: the soaps looked great all packaged up. I have no doubt she loved them.

I went to a mother/daughter sewing day with my dd. The lady who runs the shop has asked me to put in a display of soaps next fall when classes start back up. Also one of the other mothers has a store that sells handmade local items and she asked for samples. I told her as soon as I have my recipes set up and like the results I will give her samples but right now I'm still working out the bugs. Once I get closer to being ready I will have to look into what's required from my by the government for selling.

I'm going to be ordering those clear sleeves for my samples. I got my samples a couple days ago and the 2.5 x 3.5 fit a sample and a business card so I think I will stick with that one.

breconbcs I know the rules are a lot tougher in Canada, but I think there are groups just for canadian soapers. I bet they would have a lot of info about all the regulations.

You should participate in the next swap. I'll gladly give feed back on what I think.

BirdBrain Thanks for the new link, I really like the new changes they have made. I have noticed that they have changed some of their values for the reccomended ranges. Hardness has gone down and so has the conditioning range.

I don't know why the link wouldn't work. It's nothing special about the site.

chiknwhisperer Isn't it great that they send free samples so you can see what will work. I'm so glad the lady at our church liked her gift. You put it together very well.

I would like some critique on my labels. A Shop owner said she was interested in having the soaps in her store but made the suggestion that I use colors to make them stand out. I liked the plain natural look of the labels I have now, but if the labels popped more it would attract more people.

Here is a picture.
