What do you think?

I like the shelf! I thought it would be one that stands up but that is really cool because you can really see the all soap! Just a suggestion, I would put your baskets on top of boxes and then cover the boxes with a colorful scarf size piece of material. Multi leval really helps. How about your shelf in the center so everyones eyes go right to it, and then your baskets on boxes on either side and your other bars in front of the boxes. I really like the way your soap looks in the baskets, very clean and up scale.

I'll set it up that way tomorrow after DH goes to work and take pics for ya'all to look at. Do you think it will still look just as good once I get my labels on them? I was gonna leave one or two of each one unlabeled so people can get a real good look at them.

I think that labels will still look very good. Are you doing cigar bands and shrink wrap like you did for the swap? I have found that having bars out for people to pick up and smell has made a difference in the amount of people who stop by.

Though the labels will detract a bit from the clean lines, sales are all about good packaging and the smell. A catchy name, some sort of funky wrapper, heck sign them all by hand like a work of art. Advertise they are signed!

Since I am assuming you will be packaging them all the same, the over all effect should be the same. Yes of course leave some unwrapped. Maybe cut some bars up into tiny rectangles as free samples. Maybe set some bowls of the ingredients you used on the table, ground coffee, calendula flowers, peppermint.. green clay... whatever... just for effect. I am much more apt to buy handmade soaps when the booth is more tactile. Soap is so tactile, I like to touch them, smell them, take a sample with my purchase...

I agree with the multilevel idea too.

Yes I am using cigar bands but I have made the labels look a lot beter then they did before. I have shrink wrap bands and those boxes that have the cut out on them.

I have the clear plastic sleeves with samples and a business card in them. The back of the business cards co inside with the soap that itis with. I have double sided cards so I put my business info on the front and the kind of soap it is and the ingredients used. What do you think about that part?

TM Chickens I have used that before butthe shoe box needs to be a strong one. I moved onto an old desk drawer after that though. I also tried the Pringles cans but I haven't really been happy with those yet. I think it is becasue I have a hard time cutting those freehand.

NEWBIE to soap making .....
