No kidding. And, on top of that, a local store wants to start carrying our soap as well. He thinks he can sell at least 10 bars a week.
Remember, none of us gets paid for this. It's strictly volunteer on our parts AND we pay full price for any soap we use as well.

Aww, see I keep forgetting that you don't make anything on this. Is there a way for any of you to start to be paid for your time or anything? I just know they will fly off the shelves, even faster if you are only going to charge what you do at the church.

If you have three people making the soap you can get it done in 1. But it is a lot. You can also just make what you think you can handle, and if you sell out, you sell out. Your booth will still have a purpose.

We did get together yesterday to do the wrapping for the July wedding and discussed some of this. We're going to raise the price for outside sales and keep the cost the same for the church members. But, what price is reasonable to charge at an event like this? We usually run our bars at anywhere from 4.5 - 5.5 ounces since we cut by hand.

Very good point! Maybe we should just do what we can and not stress over it. If I spend my entire summer making soap, I won't have time to work in the garden that the soap is supporting. That just doesn't make sense.
