Soap Makers Help!

I don't have a super white recipe but it doesn't bother me. Yes you can use lard in place of palm though you need to run it through a lye calc again. Coconut will also give a white bar. Or you can just color every batch and not worry about it!

Backyard Buddies I love your soap! It looks great.. I'm still soaping like crazy. I didn't do any yesterday but I am going to do at least one but would like to do 2 or 3 tonight. I've been soaping everyday for about a week.

Way to go Cw! I've had to take a few days off because I ran out of Shea butter but I should get it in an hour or two. I've gone through 75pounds of shea butter since January

Once I use this it will be 100#'s!

From moonworks I got these new ones
Gaia-much cleaner and lighter than I thought it would be, though it still has that scent of fresh earth. Nice but not a personal favorite.

Earthen oak- it's nice, not an in your face vanilla, but sweet and a little smoky woody at the same time. Kinda like the spiced mahogany with the smoky note, but nicer and sweeter. let's hope it soaps better than the spiced mahogany

Witch's brew- a tiny bit more floral than the other brand I have, but still nice, I really like it, maybe a keeper if it sells well.

patchouli fo- I just got a 1oz to test it out but it is really really nice!

I got samples of Dark Knight- this is a nice spice bay rum. I like it better than other bay rums I've smelled.

Autumn Embers- eh, not my type of scent. A touch too perfumy for me, it's clean scent, not too heavy.

Congrats! I'm glad you're hard at work. But, don't burn yourself out like I just did. I just spent my day at the church wrapping soap with some of the gals (and one of the guys). We only got about 130 of the 660 bars done. Looks like more wrapping ahead . . .

I couldn't help it. I had to do it. and I REALLY need to get back to it. I didn't get any done last night like I wanted to but I'm really going to try to tonight. It gets a little hard with DH around. He is layed off for a couple of weeks and when he's around I hardly clean because we do things together.

Well I thought for sure I was going to walk away today having made hardly anything at the FM. I ended up leaving with just over $50

I can't wait till the festival in two weeks. The whole FM was sllooww today. Sorry I haven't been on much lately. DH is layed off so we have been spending lots of time together. Morgaine I sent you a PM when you get the chance to take a look.

Can one get withdrawal symptoms from not soaping??

I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder and ended up dropping 5 lbs of oil in my soap room (formally known as the FL/junk room), the Sat before Labor day.... What a mess, ended up going to the urgent care center and a week on rest and meds...

I'm feeling better now but still not able to lift much weight so no soaping for me.... I'm antsy, and grumpy as I really wanted to do my fall scents since they came in last week...

Is this withdrawal?? I also have TNS's lotion and liquid soap to make up and I'm very sad

Yeah, I get antsy if it's been to long, that soap pot just starts calling you :lol

I made the ugliest soap friday. It was supposed to be black with multi colored swirls but it ended up just being mainly grey with afew colors. I'm going to shread it up and make a confetti soap. Ugg. It's nasty. Had to the big batch too.​
