Soap makers Soap SWAP!

Yes, that's what I bought as well. I'm eager to try it to see what kind of difference it makes. I was surprised at how little it takes according to the directions, so that's why I wondered if you could tell a difference. From a marketing point of view, it could give a lot of bang for the buck since they're relatively inexpensive to add.

Ninja,
How are you adding silk to milk soaps??? Are you using liquid silk?

Before I went to all milk soaps, I would melt the silk fibers in my lye solution. When using all milk for my lye solution, it never gets hot enough to melt the silk.

Thanks!

BB~ my cousin loved them and so did our 4 lil students too

When I told them MRS Teresa made the purple one and my friends made the other ones they thought that was neat

I did dissolve the tussah silk fibers in a small amount of lye/water mix. Then added that to the main lye/milk mix. The only reason I did it that way was so that I'd be able to see in the clear water when the silk was dissolved--I had no idea that it wouldn't dissolve in straight milk! I'm so glad you said that.
