I am excited to learn more from all of you!
As a child, I had hens and rooster that I showed in 4-H. So I would like my children to have a similar experience and raise some chickens in our suburban backyard.
Particularly now, since we have so much time on our hands!
My city allows 4 hens, but I live in LA County.... and it looks like the county has a quarantine because of Newcastle Disease?? So I may need to put off getting hatching eggs/chicks for awhile....
But I can still learn about raising chickens and build a coop.
Time to read some more posts!
