As flocks fly over, I'd expect he'd join one of them. Hopefully, he does as otherwise, not sure what you can do being it's a wild animal. Perhaps call your DNR?

welcome to byc. yes please get a picture. ducks like grapes but peas are healthier treat. if you can buy a bag of frozen peas , and warm some up for her. what state did you say you are in?

Are you in an area where that pond will freeze? If not, the duck will be fine there until the flock returns. A balanced commercial ration would be best for the bird's health.

Yes the pond will be frozen in the next 2 weeks when the 19-35 degree days settle in
