socialism

very astute Joe,

It happens all over believe me.

I could tell you of numerous examples here.

Money ploughed into the health system disappears and never gets to the nurses who need it, it is taken up with new managers put in place to restrict the service.

Power corrupts

I've heard some people on here say they didn'y carry health insurance because it's such a waste of money. That good eating habits and exercise make health care un-necessary. So i guess it's a moot point.

That's probably one of the best post I've ever read. You are spot on in so many ways. Money and power is where it is all at. The sad part is the way the people with the money and the power use the media to convince people with less money to give them more money.

Well it's all been said before but you did a great job on that post.

My only point that I want to get through in this discussion is that this is the case everywhere. No political system is free of this abuse, especially not capitalism. And yes, in every system we have in this world, money from the poor goes to fund the rich and their businesses. We have Americans who get up in arms when it comes to a vote to support social programs for poor people. Those same people get up in arms when giant bailout funds go to banks, but we don't have a choice about it. We just have "socialism for the rich and dog eat dog capitalism for the rest of us." And yes, we have our people down at the bottom who take advantage of whatever systems are available to them, but they are a tiny drop in the bucket compared to what the government is willing to give to the rich. I can't even be bothered to care about the cheaters at the bottom because they make such a small ripple compared to what the rich steal. I'd rather have the social benefits that might help me than just simply fund banks, bombs, guns, petroleum, corn, and soy.
