After feeling her lump down there today it honestly doesn't even really feel like an egg anymore. If there is an egg in there it is definitely smaller than average it doesn't feel super distinct in there like it dod a few days ago I'm thinking maybe there is just some of those weird pieces I was getting before left in there. I think I will call the vet tomorrow to get put on the call list but change the appointment to another normal exam to see what the vet thinks and maybe get an xray if needed

Just updating, nothing has really changed she is still acting normal but still has something down there. I decided to not change the vet appointment and just keep the appointment to get it removed. An xray was included in the quote for $360 they gave me so I'm just gonna bring her on Thursday for it and make sure I mention to the vet that she did push one out and request for her to at least briefly try to get it out the old fashion way like she did last time before putting her under anesthesia

Some great news!! Pipsqueak laid an egg overnight!! 🥳🥳🥳

Yesterday I got 3 eggs from the other 3 ducks and brought them in. I have been very careful to make sure there are no eggs before putting them to bed, puffin and pipsqueak are the only 2 in the coop overnight and I got 2 eggs this morning!! I believe the dirty one that is mishapen is hers!! Just called the vet to change my appointment to a checkup and I also will get an xray to make sure nothing else is in there I can't really tell by the way she feels. Very glad she managed to get one out and hopefully they won't find anything else tomorrow. If she gets a clean bill of health without me having to spend so much money on the procedure I will take a much needed few days off I've been working constantly for the last month. Also pipsqueak has been very affectionate for the Last few days she was mad at me for awhile for constantly sticking syringes down her throat but the last few days every time I go out there she comes right up for scratches and cuddles

Just dropped her off at the vet. They will call me with any updates. For now they are just checking her out and giving her an xray, it did feel like she still has a soft shell egg in there so I will just be waiting to see what the vet says after looking at rhe xray and see if she suggests it should be removed. Wish her luck

Okay I just got her back, lots to go over. So they said the xray showed what felt like an egg back there is actually a hernia, and there is currently no eggs in her. At the moment all I can really do is give her metacam for pain and monitor to make sure she is doing okay. They said they aren't sure if it is interfering with the egg tract and it would need barium xrays to be sure if it is or isn't, but I would suspect that it is as if you look at the slightly deformed egg she laid yesterday it is just a bit off center and I could see how the swelling from her hernia would make it form that way. They said the only way to repair the hernia is through surgery and the estimate they gave me for that is just under $900 which would be extremely difficult for me to do it took me a full month of constant working with no breaks just to get the 350 it cost for these last 2 vet visits. It really doesn't seem to be effecting Pipsqueak much except for while she is trying to lay eggs, so I am thinking of maybe putting her on a strict daylight schedule to prevent her from producing eggs, if I remember correctly you have some experience with that Lydia so I would appreciate your opinion and knowledge about that. The first time I brought her in the vet mentioned that if they were too difficult to remove they may have to spay her in order to remove them, so I am thinking when they call me back in a few days for an update I may ask if spaying is an option and what that would cost. I may set up a gofundme to post on my duck social media accounts just on the chance I could get lucky and get some support from my communities.

She laid another egg this morning, it mostly looks normal but the part I drew an arrow pointing towards is pushing out a bit so it's slightly deformed. The hernia is massive i can't imagine it is fun to push eggs through that
