Hi. I have a 5+ month old Easter Egger who started laying about 3 weeks ago. Everything was great, she laid 4 days in a row perfectly normal eggs, she took a day off, then we got two more normal eggs and then the next morning I found a rubber egg in the coop. There was a shell with it that was super soft and rubbery. She was listless that day, but has seemed to be feeling better ever since.
However, ever since has been nearly three weeks and she hasn't laid anything since. No soft eggs, no normal eggs, no nothing. She is on layer feed, has access to oyster shells and free ranges in my yard during the day.

Does anyone know what is going on or what I might be able to do to get her laying again? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I believe it's not unsual for an occasional shell-less egg to be laid (just covered by a thin membrane). I read that young pullets lay irregularly in the beginning and may lay these shell-less eggs.

If she is behaving normally, i don't think she is egg-bound or have egg peritonitis. In those cases she would display an array of behaviours like sitting in the nest box for long periods, looking like she may be strainging, sitting down a lot, swollen abdomen, looking generally unwell.

I am new to chickens though, so hopefully someone else will weigh in.
