Hi BYC Community,
My nearly 1.5 year old beautiful buff orpington has been laying soft eggs for about a month now. The other day I (gently) picked her up and it was as if a yolk had burst in side of her and was dripping out of her vent. I immediately brought her inside, gave her a nice 15min long soak in warm water and did my best to clean the vent area. After her bath, she did a pretty big poop and it looked like some yolk came out with the poop too. Pics of the pop and her vent area are below. For the past few weeks, I've been putting Apple Cider Vinegar in the water and she has daily access to oyster shells. I also crush up the shells from my other ladies and feed it to her in yogurt for extra calcium. Any thoughts on how I can cure or help her? Her abdomen area is soft and feels normal, not swollen but I'm not really sure.
Thanks Everyone!!
