My 18 month old Americana has been laying long pointed eggs with soft ends. I have posted a pic of the 2 she laid this week. I often find her eggs broken in the nest. She is a small hen but very friendly and appears to be healthy. I have been taking her aside lately for a competition free meal of mealy worms. There is free feed oyster shell available and 16% layer feed available at all times. She free ranges about 6 hours a day. What can I do for her? The other 7 hens are laying beautiful eggs.
