They're tablets for humans, check your local drugstore, vitamin shop, etc.Where can I get that? Is it for human consumption or chickens?
JFYI, I had a similar situation of one who laid a lot of soft-shelled eggs in her first year when everyone else was fine, and I seriously contemplated culling, but didn't. It did change, on its own. She's now 5 and her eggs are still good and strong; she laid about 80 this year (+ 5/6 set hatched into perfectly formed and healthy chicks too). I do not know if it just took her system a LONG time to get working properly, or if her health was challenged somehow, but it didn't lead to egg eating among the flock, and it did change.I just don't think you can change this.

I feel you on this, I have ordered oyster shell as it is not available on island but my Easter egger is laying at night and soft eggs. She just recently started laying but we are in week 2 and things have not improved at all no matter what i try.I have an Easter egger who consistently lays soft shell eggs. She is a great layer and consistently lays eggs, but they are always soft shelled. Sometimes the shell is so soft the shell crumbles when I pick it up, sometimes its rubbery, but most of the time it breaks in the egg box right after she lays. Is there anything I can do for her?? She does have access to oyster shells at all times. Thanks for any help.

How did this work out? My 2 of 3 just started laying the past week ( all 3 are almost 20 weeks) and all.good. but my one girl who is bullied, just laid her 1st egg, soft shelled under the roost. And im worriedThis is very encouraging.
It is very common for the first egg to be soft and laid from the roost. Several of mine did that a time or two and then started laying normal eggs in the nest box. It also may be a few days between the first and second eggs. How did this work out?
