They won't even be interested. They may just go to their coop and sleep through it.

We were told to keep all animals away from the sun during the eclipse. Our coop is facing away from the sun so we have our girls locked in the coop. The girls are VERY vocal from the beginning of the eclipse to now. The dogs were extra playful just before it started. Have fun

why would you keep them away from the sun? they aren't going to be interested. They're gonna think its getting dark and its time to go to bed.

Yes, if they were to look at the sun, but they won't. At 90% here, the chickens had no reaction. If it weren't my knowledge of it occuring and about 10 stacked sunglasses, I don't think I would have even noticed.

I think what is important here is that WE don't look at the sun. It is like being in an airplane and they say you should put on your mask first...then tend to the others. Perhaps standing in the run with a blanket raised to block out the killer rays?
