I am looking for suggestions from anyone who uses a solar fan in their coop. I live in Upstate South Carolina and we are in the middle of a very hot summer. My coop has side vents as well as ventilation across the entire top of the coop (the roof is raised off of the walls) but my hens are still getting very hot in there when there is no breeze. My coop and run are in a relatively shaded area and only get direct sun for a few hours at a time throughout the day. I am looking at installing a solar fan in the coop to help move the air around at night when there is no breeze. Any suggestions would be helpful!
