Sold as a BR - what is she really?

My little pasty baby, Everest, is about 6 days old. Her legs look pink-gray instead of yellow-gray. Same with her beak. She is barred, though. Thoughts?

Side note - she came from the untrustworthy bins of Wilco.

I would agree. Some members have pointed out on other threads how sometimes the leg coloring can change a bit from when they're just hatched, so I would just confirm they're staying pink!

Sounds good. They have showed no signs of change. Next to the RIR’s feet they are quite obviously pink.
They were also selling CM there; wouldn’t be surprised if an employee put a chick back in the wrong bin or something.

You're lucky! I haven't had much experience with Marans, but I adored a Golden Cuckoo rooster I had once

Thanks! I’m not sure we get to keep her, there was an agreement with my mother that the chicks would be sold. But she’s a lovely chick!

Yes! And you can get her past the delicate chick days where so many problems arise!
