Sold out chicks

Most Hatcheries hatch chicks from early spring, to late summer, then stop for a while. If a breed is sold out, then they will probably either hatch more in the spring, or have some more when a new batch hatches.
There were some Silkie chicks sold out, will there be more Silkie chicks?

Some hatcheries will only have certain breeds at certain times of the year. They will have them again, but it may not be until spring. Shipping chicks in the winter is hard b/c of the cold temps. I have 9 chicks die in the mail in February with heat packs. I suggest looking for a hatchery that's nearest you and seeing what they have to offer. If they don't have what you're looking for I'd check back in the spring, or look for a local breeder.

Is My Pet Chicken near me?

My Pet Chicken usually gets their chicks from Meyer Hatchery. You would need to order at least three and pay for express shipping. Ideal might have Silkies available but they require a minimum order of $20 worth of chicks and if you don't buy enough they add extra roosters for warmth or you might be able to not have roosters added if you pay $1.50 or so for insurance.
