I have a pair of sweet ISA Brown girls. They are perfect except they sleep in their nest boxes all the time. 😑
I use a cat box scooper to get the poop and dirty pine shavings out, but it’s hard to get in there everyday.
My solution is sticking disposable foil/tin baking pans in there!

They mold to the size of the box. You can take them right out and dump the litter. Game changer! And now the girls aren’t sleeping inside the boxes, they’re perching on their box....1 step closer to getting them on their roost 😂

I see the roost bar in the fore ground of one of the pics

looking again yes the nest are up at roof and roost bar down low, need to both lower nests and raise bar, I think
I wish I could lower the nests, but they’re built in that way. It’s a good sized coop for 2 hens, so maybe I could block them off and put a nest box on the floor. Then I could raise the roost up.
