So I think that some of y'all are confused as to why I post so many questions about so many injuries. Basically, I'm the person that takes care of a big amount of the population of geese, ducks, squirrels, deer, you name it. Anything that is from my island I take care of. I have special permission from the town to do so. It's a full time job, along with school and working in our family seafood business. I get a lot of injuries and things because these animals aren't domesticated and they are completely wild. They only come up to me and my family and don't cause a nuisance to everyone. I started last year working with medicine, so I'm still fairly new at that part. But other than that I've been dealing with the animals my whole life and would love someday to just own my own place. I'm also the only person anywhere near my area that rehabilitates seagulls. I l ive across from the marsh, via all the mites and louse that may ever try to inhabit one of my animals.
that's why I ask questions. I can't prevent things like people who actually own their birds. That's my story:lol:

Do you get to see the ponies on Assateague? All I know about Chincoteague is from reading Misty of Chincoteague. 😂
I see them sometimes when I'm lucky. My family and I actually own the original ranch property from the Beebe's. My neighbor is Billy Beebe and he owns the ancestors of Misty. Unfortunately around tho time last year the barn with her saddles and everything caught on fire and nothing was able too be salvaged. Quite terrifying to watch😣

did you get to see any of the wild ponies?
Yep, the MD end they are completely loose and all over the place, in the road, in the parking lots, on the beach, etc. The first time we went I saw Dee's Heart and Jester, the next year we went Jester had been hit by a car and killed a few months prior but we saw Dee's Heart again all alone (they were an older couple and pretty much stayed by themselves over by the bridge to get to the island), we saw Chip's (Deligate's Pride) band and whichever band Mrs Macky was in at the time and one of the foals, not sure which one it was, chestnut filly.

Yes I think it was buttercup something I cant remember, she was sold for quite a bit of money! We were sad about Jester though...
We don't really go out much and see the bands because there are just so many tourists around and unfortunately a lot of them aren't too nice...

My old trainer (trained me to ride) owned a ancestor of Misty and he was the first horse I had ever got to ride on.
