some chicks didn't make it out...why?

OK I started with thrity eggs...13 hatched ...3 were yolks and the rest were dead chicks. I waited three extra days after the last chick hatched. Bator was starting to smell bad....I candled and nothing was moving. the results were 14 dead chicks. It seems that the eggs from my sex link RIR are not hatching out. any ideas why this is? I felt terrible cause those eggs were from my fav chick Hilary and non of hers hatched.

There are lots of reasons why this might have happened. On my Christmas hatch I had 5 pip the egg shell but one did not.
