A while ago I emailed Purine to ask them about their medicated chick feed and eating the chickens, this is what they emailed back to me. Just for anyone who might be interested.

"There is no withdrawal time for the Amprolium. The medications stays in the gut of the chicken and does not get into meat or the eggs.Animals make better people, We make better Animals Thanks and have a good day! :) "

Question: Can I eat one of my chickens that has been on medicated start & grow. Will the amprolium be in the meat? And if so, if I wait a certain amount of time before butchering, will it be out of their systems?

well done

really? they said the medication doesn't go into the eggs? cuz all this time i've been selling eggs and not selling the ones from my hens that accidentally get into my chick starter for fear it goes into the eggs.
