So while we were out walking the property, I decided to go into the goose pen. I was NOT welcome. Whadda think?? LOL This is Prince Peter & Princess Petunia.

Petunia is sitting on one egg. LOL You'd think she was guarding Fort Knox! She was NOT happy with me sticking the camera in her face. Let me tell ya!

My sebastopols aren't laying quite yet, but they are breeding like crazy. The male hates anything white I bring in the pen, so bringing the white food bucket always causes him to fly off the handle. Today, when my back was turned, he bit me for the first time, hard, on my calf. I have blood underneath the skin now, the little brat!

Ganders can be so unpredictable during breeding season sometimes...

My Buff American gander doesn't get testy with me unless his mate is allowed to sit her own clutch, then, when the goslings first hatch, he's awful to be around. Otherwise, including if I artificially incubate the eggs, he's wonderful to me.... however he can be testy with strangers.

None of my ganders are bad or mean, but in breeding season they have their moments.

I bruise easily, so I'm trying to get by with a minimum of nips this year.

Wow! I'd say ouch!

My gander just bites my hand when I'm putting water in his bucket. He is scared to go to the pond, so he has an ice cream bucket for his water. That's the only time he bites me, I guess he doesn't realize the 'don't bite the hand that feeds you' thing goes for the hand that waters you too!

ETA: I think the problem is that he wants me to give him the big 5-gallon bucket, instead of the little 1 gallon ice cream pail
