Thank you! I'm going to add some photos from today. First, this is Deacon, the goober I was talking about earlier. He's been on top of the coop three or four times today already. Nice vantage point for a hawk to take him off easily. Good grief.

Thanks! That's Mina. She's going on 2 years old now, if I recall.

Deacon and I have been playing the "Coax Deacon back home" game all day long now. He flies out, I lure him back, he wants to cuddle and be petted. Sigh. The pen is 2500 sf so no way to cover it and no other groups he would work in. The last resort is to clip his wings, which I hate because, since he will have only one spur, he has no other defense except to go airborne.
