some one please help

the kids are no older than 10. the father doesn't watch them when they are at our house. the children doesn't try to harm them. they try to feed them some corn that's been sitting out for who knows how long, pets them and before the chicks died the youngest had an empty wasp come piece on top of one of the cages and doing something. all of this that they do to them is probably killing them. I cant let them go anywhere near them again.

That is terrible! Divorce or not, there are too many parents out there who let their children do whatever they want regardless of the consequences. I don't like our kids in the run when the chickens are out in fear the kids might unintentionally hurt one of them.

Again, they are HIS children. HE is responsible for what they do on your property during HIS parenting time. Legally and morally.

I am very concerned that after the first incident that he didn't realize that the kids need more supervision. I would assume that he's generally a decent person, just going through a rough patch. BUT, he has to realize that he has to protect himself.

In addition to the health of your flock being affected, that there is a pending legal matter. If he is not responsible now, what will he do when he gets his own place and no one is around to watch his kids? His STBX might even use such information against him - won't go anywhere, legally, but responding to legally baseless claims is at best stressful, at worst expensive.

Believe me, I have experience with baseless claims: I have an ex whose submitted legal papers that could be counted as works of humor. Had to

at the judge's response to his last 2 petitions. But the stress of getting paperwork together to show up for court

is not equal to the amusement factor.
